HISTORY

Josephine met delphin in one of pentecotist church in SAKE village, in that church Josephine has preaches the God’s word when Delphin was leading worship and praises to God, after church both heard the painful stories of children and caused by FDLR, CNDP, NYATURA, M23 and MAIMAI rebels.

There were a deep trauma, then God called some believers to pray and established ELIKIA – DRC to begin the process to heal first the wound of trauma in 2015.

Elikia-drc is a Congolese word which means hope.

ELIKIA – DRC is a Christian relief and development organization passionate about restoring individual, families and communities affected by the war.

Motivated by our faith in Jesus Christ we serve children and woman affected by war regardless of person’s religion, race, ethnicity or gender as a “demonstration of God’s unconditional love for all people

Our passion begins for children survivors of war, whose suffering breaks the heart of God to help, secure a better future of each child, we focus on lasting, community based transformation.

Through prayers we ask God to touch: The body, the mind, the soul, relationship

In these ways ELIKIA provides for survivors the opportunity to find healthy, hope and restored identity after war.

We empower them to develop sustainable access, to food supplies, health care, education, settlement or economic opportunities.

WE USE

We put our faith in action; in our work every things begins by praying and asking God’s will.

We bear witness to Jesus Christ in ways that encourage people to respond to the gospel.
